Explain to me how PIC time is meaningless? If on paper two candidates have the exact same qualifications except for the PIC time, who do you think gets the nod from mainline first? Sure, it might matter less that it used to, but in such a dynamic environment, why wouldn't you do everything you could to hedge your bets. Besides, there is still the 1000 PIC turbine glass ceiling outside of the 121 airline world.

Okay so I think I have narrowed it down to ExpressJet and Envoy in DFW and Endeavor pretty much wherever. I believe there are a ton of 2 leg flights coming out of Shreveport going to just about anywhere if I am using passrider.com right. Would the quick upgrade and time off reserve at Endeavor be worth the commute instead of moving to DFW and working for ExpressJet or Envoy? The work environment sounds so much worse in Dallas than it would at Envoy according to the forums.

I'd go to Endeavor. The pay is the best and that means they will continue to be able to hire in this environment. Their upgrade time is falling, reserve times, etc. They have the capability/staffing to grow and cover other flying, which cannot be said for most regionals.

I'm gonna hold a line after one month of reserve.

I would stay away from ExpressJet in DFW. Those 145's are only a 2-year contract starting a while back. I wouldn't consider that a reliable option. While ExpressJet has a much better contract, Envoy is getting more planes.

A 2 leg commute is not worth it you will give up 2 days every week commuting. That's 8 days a month commuting to work. Either move or work someplace with at least 4 flights a day 1 leg. My commute has 23 flights a day and it's miserable a 1 and a half hour flight costs me 4 hours each way. And I live 15 min from the airport. You will hate life doing a 2 leg commute.

Good question. I live in MSP, but want United (first choice) over Delta. But living in MSP, we have Endeavor and Compass. And not too keen on commuting. A friend told me to go to Republic, due to their newly signed UA agreement. And because UA, has been grabbing their guys a lot. But that would require commuting.

Those options for the E175 are OPTIONS. Alt ought we might get some, we should park some of the old beat up E145's.
