Will Frontier be paying better than peanuts by the time you flow?

Frontier has great people working there, for sure. Beyond that, the pay is a complete joke. I know several regional FO's making more than Frontier FO's.

not a Gojet cheerleader by any means, but when everything in opentime is 300% its hard not to make a good bit of $$$. Certainly more than a Frontier guy is making, at least until they get a new contract.

Braniff DC8 06-22-2016 10:34 AM

Time to upgrade in FL?

Whoa that new route map is something but honestly, how are they going to nearly double in size?

You know several guys making more than a 1st year FO at frontier. That's not hard if you're a 5 year regional FO. Pretty hard to make more than a 2nd year Frontier guy at a regional. But that's apples to oranges.

18 - 24 months currently. We need more pilots in the door in order to upgrade sooner. You'll also need 1000 121 of course.

The second year guy at Gojet made 85k (admittingly working his butt off)

Captains are making 120k+.

All i'm saying, is that Frontier needs to up their game. Seriously.

MartinBishop 06-22-2016 12:24 PM

Is there still a contract required to stay a year past upgrade?

Flyhayes 06-22-2016 12:34 PM

Every time I see a new Silver thread, I'm expecting to see that the company is closing.
Just sayin'...

HighFlight 06-22-2016 12:36 PM

Well, it IS hard to beat GoJet when they have THE highest CRJ pay in the regional industry!

Skyooopilot791 06-22-2016 05:12 PM

lol you know we have a Silver tread already which can answer any and all questions most of the time. i mean hell i already posed the first to years pay if the go there as a FO.

but as for Cuba they did get a lot of the smaller cities they put in for.

The Frontier thing is a joke at best because because it needs the ok from the company to flow and they are soo short on people they will not get anyone to flow.

Then why do all their pilots look so miserable? I've never seen more dejected-looking flight crew as in the DEN B concourse.

Sorry but that's BS. A gojet FO who makes more than I do would be working ridiculous amounts of hours on his days off. They aren't paying his base pay at 75%. I can work 75 hours at F9 and the Gojet FO would have to work at least 100.

I don't know about GJ, but I know several TSA FOs who were getting 140 hours a month during 200%. I can't imagine if it was 300%.

Braniff DC8 06-25-2016 08:21 PM

So regional jets?

New Pay/Bonuses?
Medical/Dental?
Uniforms?
Realistic upgrade if you have way over the 1000 121 PC time?
Bases?
Pay/Hotel in training?
CASS?

Thank you.

3kids 06-26-2016 01:09 PM

Its called 300% pay for any open time the past almost year at GoJet. I have 2 good friends that are captains that are still 12 days off a month and credit 140-160 hours a month. They bid min credit and get 14-15 days off in the bid run then pick up a 3 day or 4 day at 300%. They also have a lot of trips in Denver that end on the last day at 9am or 10 am they just then pick up another turn at 300% and get done at 2 pm instead. They both said they will easily make over 120k this year. Say what you want they are paying some big boy regional money at G7 to all flight crews regardless of FO or Captain.

Yep... I just spoke to a friend of mine who is Cpt over there and he said he made close to $10k this month. He is a very low seniority Cpt too.

RJs are part of our future plan however nothing is written in stone yet.

Yes on both Med and Dental, do you have a family or are you alone?

Uniforms are basic black pants and shirt, $150 per year uniform allowance which can be used to buy your initial uniform.

Upgrade is going around 20 months for everyone, we need more FOs to be able to upgrade. If we have enough then it'll drop significantly.

FLL, TPA, MCO, IAD with IAD being the most JR at the moment.

Training pay is 4 hours a day at yr 1 pay. If you come in Aug 1 you'll be paid 34/hr 4 hours a day 6 days a week. PerDiem is on top of that and unless I'm mistaken it's 24 hour perdiem in training. This could have changed though.

Hotel is single occupancy

Yes we have CASS

Five93H 06-27-2016 12:40 PM

Silver seem to be positioning themselves well for the US-Cuba market, very smart to get in on as many destinations as possible.

Pretty sure picking up a trip without a 12 hour break from your last trip is illegal.

While I think this guys friends are idiots to work that much. And work for gojet, you can add turns on to your trip all you want. Picking up a turn at the end of your is done a lot. Just not by me. I like to have a life at home and not work.

Hmmm... your most junior base is a city in which your most junior pilots cannot afford to live....

Totally not like ANY other airline, no sir!

you better check your regs knowledge. Adding to a trip does not require a rest period if added prior to last leg of last day.

Braniff DC8 06-28-2016 07:25 PM

Latest on the new package at Silver? Thanks.

"Full pay till the last day" was a frequent mantra that I used to hear at a prior airline. I believe that G7 will seize operations at the end of the summer. They don't seem to have any long term plans. The DO left for a place that is not a great place either. They took a navy non-pilot guy who became a pilot after leaving the navy to FO at TSA, then Capt/Check Airman at G7, then chief pilot, then DO. The last 2 steps in a few months. They don't want to pay a guy with experience who knows how to do things to be the DO or they couldn't get one.

People who are there will probably be in class at another regional in the fall. That's my best guess.

TalkTurkey 06-29-2016 01:32 PM

Endeavor FO here with average take-home pay of just under 5K. But that's 9-10 days off only and hustling my cheeky little arse.

We're paid higher than any other turboprop airline.

Hell we're paid more than most 50-seat RJ guys now.

Base salary, but have to take into account the premium pay at some, even triple premium. Still, a lot better than when I flew the Saab at CJC. We got 21 1rst year and 26 second... It was BS, ha.

Massive increase in pay, IAD pay override, and hotels for cancellations in base.

Five93H 06-30-2016 01:10 PM

What is hiring v attrition, roughly?

Except the other airlines pay almost twice as much (but even that isn't enough to live in a place like IAD/JFK/LGA/ORD)

JayBee 06-30-2016 04:27 PM

So, what is this massive increase in pay ? Is it a secret ?

Check out the other Thread for that info. I posted it there, but its back everyone got between 8-14 dollar pay increase. with starters at 35.

Thats a hard one to tell. in the last few months they lost 4, 4, 6 to Xtra Airways alone. i know a few others that also left to other places. I wasn't in the training department but last think i saw a bid packet i saw 20 people currently training and that was 2 months ago and i didn't hear to many positive from that group. But then again it could be 1 bad eggs.

Braniff DC8 07-01-2016 05:15 AM

What other thread? I'd like to read it. What level of candidates are they getting? I would like to join but think I maybe be overqualified for the right seat for two years.
