Should have went to express we don't sit reserve we fly reserve i have only had about two weeks total of sitting on my a@# and that was over the holidays

7:45am- Jon decides to leave airport and come back to the crashpad
8:00am- Jon is walking in the door in uniform as I am getting ready to walk out and we both wonder where the logic in crew scheduling really is. To us it made more sense to use the guy at the airport in uniform rather than calling out someone else...

The real question is... why do they flat out lie to us?

Another question. Why did Jon show in less than two hours if Jon didn't want to anyway. (Especially at that hour.) And if the flight canceled, did Jon stay at the airport? If they didn't have another assignment RIGHT THEN AND THERE, Jon goes back on two hour call out.

I too would like to read this 5% raise for myself.

Haha, I was on a CAL flight to CLE last week that had 6 full XJT crews:D Good times. I think we took all the overhead space, sucks for the PAX.

4. Depends. December I credited 66 hours. This month I have 54 hours credit already, today is the 14th.
5. People that I was in class with are hard lineholders at a different base. But I tell them living in base on reserve is much better than commuting to a line.

I know a PDT FO who left to go fly a Hawker. Much better job, and he's building time in a plane where he can move to a good corporate operator in the near future. If I was a PDT FO I would only stay there long enough to move on - even living in base making $25k/yr ain't worth it. You can't get ahead with that kind of money.

I just skipped to the end of this post cuz I got lazy. I'd say about half the guys in my class at CHQ on the 145 never sat a day of reserve in their life. In one month of reserve, I credited 123 hours. Other months...75. It fluctuates. Of course, I got sick of reserve and switched bases.
