It would help at ASA if the 70 or so FO's that could hold captain would actually upgrade...
Reserve time here is near infinity... |
I heard a flight attendant say today that reserve in LA at his airline was 15 years. 15 years! I think he was at Northwest, but I didn't know they had an LA base.
I sat reserve 17 months at Eagle, but we flew tons. The first year I logged over 700 hours, of course that doesn't include deadheads. Reserve sucks, it always has and it always will. |

Reserve time here is near infinity... - nobody is upgrading, in which case your seat seniority isn't moving regardless of people's desire to upgrade. - OTHER FOs more senior to you are upgrading, in which case your seniority is moving just fine. You don't CARE who upgrades or quits that is senior to you in your seat, you just care that somebody does. Sheesh - why would that need explaining to somebody????? |

2. How long you have been on reserve 3. When you anticipate getting a hard line 4. Do you actually fly on reserve 5. Any reserve horror story you may have 2) 9 months. 3) LOL, 3 away now... so I'd guess in either June or July. 4) No, not so much... I've flown a grand total of 150 hrs in my 9 months here, that INCLUDES IOE... 5) Hmm... let's see... I crashpad with you, sooo... that's a horror enough as it is:D |

What is sad? Korean getting paid 75 hours a month for flying 17... or you getting paid 76 hours a month for flying 76? 230/3 vs. 150/9? I'd take the fly 17 hrs a month, get paid for 75... vs. fly 76 and paid for 76.To each his own I guess. |
