It seems it would be a good thing for the Comair guys to get 900's.

Not an unfortunate event, I'd think.

Nice. The bar goes down another notch - nice way for you to root for your union bro's.

Oh, wait.......

It has and will continue to be very difficult for any single pilot group to hold up a bar given the type of business model that the airlines are using for feed. Unless there is quantifiable scope language and across the industry unity the bar will continue to lower.

Someone needs to slap you. The 200,700,900 or a common type and the 700 and 900 share many common parts. So if an airline already operates 200 and 700 it could easily start 900 operations quickly. Just like Skywest did.

Oh and rest assurred someone else will operate 900's along with Skywest. That way they can make sure that they can have a pricing competition to keep wages down.

As a Skywest pilot myself, the 900's going to Comair would be the best outcome. They are the only one's with the bawls to get what they deserve. They are setting the bar higher for everyone and trying to raise the standard, something everyone should be doing at their own companies. At least it won't be Pinnacle or Freedom... hopefully

I don't know what our proposal says yet, but I wouldn't classify it raising the standard. As for bawls, we are lucky we got a second chance, we had voted on a really steep paycut that got voided out thanks to our FA's. We ARE going to take a pay cut, the BK judge already stated that, which isn't good for anyone.

After we take it, it puts downward pressure on SkyWest, ASA, and everyone else. SkyWest may not feel the pressure immediately as they have a lot of growth slated for the next couple of years, but it will most undoubtly come if things don't change. ASA is already feeling the pressure.

It is a crazy world. I am jsut enjoying the ride.

I know, you want to continue to operate mainline aircraft for very little pay so you can hurry up and get your 1000 PIC turbine only to find out there are now jobs for you because Skyworst is flying them around for crappy payrates. Congratulations, oh and way to support your fellow union pilots....oh wait, your not union. Maybe thats why your pay rates suck. Your an a**. Just remember, what goes around comes around. I wish our Comair Brothers and Sisters the best. You've been through a lot. I hope it gets better very soon.
