Comair New TA?

I'm a company guy and I want to do whats best for MY company and MY pilot group. I don't know why I always get attacked when i'm sore when another airline gets growth that my airline could have had. I hope skywest is the only regional left in a couple of years. Also the rumour around here is that skywest is getting an additional 15 900s this summer for delta, I think we deserve them as we have been good to delta and have kept alpa off property.

Are you a real SKW pilot, or are you just posing as one who makes inflamatory statements in order to make the rest of us look bad??? The later, I think

Yes I am a skywest pilot and I do not make inflamatory statments. Only people who think that are the ones suckling on the alpa teet. I've been at an airline that alpa destroyed, so I think I have a little more insight in the way this business works. Perhaps you should speak with hundreds of other part 121 people that have been hired and are in every newhire class. Most came to skywest because it isn't alpa and most of us are doing everthing to make sure it stays that way.

I see no need for alpa at SKW at this time (that could change)...they need to fix mesa and a few others FIRST, then come talk to me.
The only thing alpa could offer me right now is a standard NATIONAL policy on pilot compensation that is ENFORCED, longshoreman style. They need to get scope under control too.
I'm all about getting growth flying (there's plenty of that), but could do without flying that belongs to COMAIR...I have some empathy for my fellow flyers.
We have little control over the dynamics of this industry, but there is no need to gloat about the fact the we at SKW are on the up-side of the cycle...cuz you know what ALWAYS follows the up-swing...

I hate to say this but DAL loves SKW. I know a few people over at DAL they deal with your management. They absolutely love them. All I ever hear is how professional and courteous they are. He said that no other regional that he has worked with has every been this good to work with.
SKW delivers customer service to their customer; DAL. It is sad for the rest of us, but when all are equal, they will choose the one that will treat them(DAL) with the utmost respect.
He hopes that SKW gets all of the flying. I guess it makes his job a lot easier.

There is nothing wrong with wanting your company to prosper, if it does well you do well as a result. But, there is something to be said about the industry doing well too. The more growth we see industry-wide the better all of our lives will be.
ALPA, love it or not, is trying to make life better for all of us. Whether they are succeding or not is left for another debate, but it is their goal. If I were you I would be watching Comair very closley. It may not happen tomorrow, but Delta may come down on Skywest and want lower rates.
Not appreciating the successes of your fellow pilots (union or not) is foolish, ignorant and just plain rude.
