Look at UVU ( Utah Valley University), they have an online program and good flight program that isn't that expensive.

ERAU is expensive but a very good experience. I do not regret going. However, do yourself a favor and knock out your gen. ed. classes and your PPL before you show up. You won't come out as badly in debt

1 - it is practically impossible to get a COM/ME/IRA for that low of a price these days

2- if one has to finance their flight training, a 141 university or ATP are pretty much the only places where one can get financing.

Exactly.... ERAU is a great school, but overpriced. Honestly I would tell anyone to do college and flight training separately. Or as you said, at least get the AA complete before getting to ERAU to finish the BS. Community college in Florida is pretty inexpensive.

Thanks, I might look elsewhere for flight training. The Embry Riddle rates are high. Those rates are more reasonable.
