Regional flow to AAL
I've always planned on college. Never thought any different. But with the Envoy flow...I could go to a flight school for my ratings and get into a regional job in 2 years. So many people are...is it a smart choice??

No degree required today, but who knows what it'll be like in two years.
Also, whose to say you won't find yourself in a situation where you can't hold a first class medical? I certainly would feel a little better knowing I have a degree to fall back on. Not to mention You'll finish college with great experiences and a more informed view of the world. Just my two cents

Definitely get the degree if you were planning on it. Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. BUT, if 4 year college isn't in the cards, then Piedmont, envoy etc. are a good choice to get to the majors without a degree. IMHO

I would agree with the idea of going to college, but there are other ways of doing it. An online degree, or using an online school to get a degree after completing two years at a community college.
Ultimately though, there's no way to know what this industry is going to look like 2 years from now. Could be a whole different ball game.

Get the degree, if anything, so you will have social skills and be able to have a conversation on other things important in life besides airplanes!!! Surprising to some, but there is a lot of neat things in the world outside of a plane!!!

Can you swing both at once some how? Maybe Cfi your 1500 while full time student at an aviation school that will give you a semester or two of credits for all the flying you've done. When your at a regional go part time till your done.

You'll have some of the best experiences/make some of your closest friends who will be with you for the rest of your life during college.
Don't skip out on it. Also - try a non aviation related degree.
