It's pretty much gone from being a charter airline to EAS regional with 3 airplanes. They had decent work before with NASCAR, NCAA and the occasional tour work.
Furloughed half the pilots in 2015 pretty much without notice. As far as dispatchers and pilots they were great to work with. Upper management is a mess. Buyer beware. It used to be you were home based, not sure what the story is now. Last I saw ads they were trying to hire locals.

Their 2 EAS cities in South Dakota are under contract until the end of July 2018. However, one of these cities (Watertown, SD) is subject to termination of EAS funding as of December 31, 2016 due to exceeding the per passenger subsidy cap and/or not emplaning the average minimum number of passengers per day.
They also operate as "Great Lakes Jet Express" so with the on going possibility of an implosion at the actual Great Lakes Airlines, they might suddenly find themselves in a more challenging situation through no direct fault of their own.

I worked there a while back just before the furlough. If the management hasn't changed then I would avoid it. Seriously, it was a less than acceptable working environment. Case in point after being on the road for 3 weeks I asked the head dispatcher when I could go home and his answer was "I don't know". I left soon after.

Yep supposed to have 6on 6off usually ended up being like 9on 3off because they would not plan properly. I enjoyed the charter flying, but doing EAS you might as well go fly a regional. Pierre and Watertown are not exactly the diamonds of the travel industry. EAS contracts come and go. They just recently lost YNGs contract. They're in a weird position too since their parent company seaport went bankrupt.
If you want to do charter you might as well go to elite air, swift, xtra.
