Probably because their bases are in Dfw and Iah and they fly 70+ seaters. Bravo to the troll as well, nicely written.

I know 6 guys who went to Mesa in the past year and a half.
- 3 washed out of a part 121 program
- 1 washed out of 2 different part 121 programs
- 1 washed out of a part 121 program and was fired from a 135. Neither GoJet or Republic hired him after interviewing him, and from his attitude, I thought nobody would hire him
- 1 had family issues come up and needed to find a company that would get him a Houston base right away. He left another 121 for a 135, but was unsatisfied with the 135 and went to Mesa for the IAH base.

Honestly, not picking on the Mesa guys and I have met many that I would gladly fly with anyday, but it's no secret that Mesa does give many a second or third chance at a 121 career.

And I'm sure there are guys applying to Mesa who haven't done their research in advance and end up with the training contract and feel tied to the company.

Totally true. I had to talk a friend out of applying to GoJet, because his friend kept talking about how great the 200% open time was.

Everyone is passing everyone else's failures around. They're washing out of Mesa and going elsewhere as well.

OK, so the op took a job with horrible pay, terrible health benefits, and 0 chances of improvement. This crap is all known, and made very aware to all the tard sticks that think Mesa will get them to the promise land quick. His wife is the real irresponsible one here, she allowed herself to be with someone that is Willing to have a bunch of kids, and take a job at McDonald's.

In the end though, I have a feeling this post is an attempt by a failed division of alpa which is a failed assoc. in itself, to start conversation about how bad it is at mesa.

This career isn't like welfare, you don't get more money for more kids. Damn, even people trying to make a living off welfare make better decisions then mesa newhires.

I only personally know one pilot at Mesa and he failed out of a different 121 program. Granted he did recently upgrade, but just recently he was complaining about having to pay for uniforms and pay for their tablet and many other things

I used to know more pilots at Mesa, most have moved on. The one guy I do know that is there basically lives under a rock and is clueless about the state of the industry.

Mesa is a hazard. The pilots are not safe. First officers cannot speak English. Most captains are lifers as they aren't college educated. There is no career progression at Mesa Airlines. Understand if you go to Mesa the best career you will have is a first officer at a ULCC.

The CEO, Johnny. If I ever see that coke dealing son of a ***** on the street I will put his teeth to the curb and stomp on his head. JO is worthless and does not care about the pilot group.

Insurance costs are high. Pay is low.

We still require a training contract. What a ****ing joke.

On December 9th there will be a informal picket at DFW. December 10th there will be a sickout. If you're unsure what a sickout is, PM me.

I will be going on disability for depression thanks to MESA.

I can't remember the name, but there have been better trolls on this forum than you, not a bad try though lol. The crackers and malnutrition was good though.
