I have noticed more Pilots in the past few years that English is not a lot of these guys first language. Obviously I don't know if they are captains or FO, but the radios are becoming harder to understand. It's almost comical in the cockpit!

I don't have a fear of them. It's just hard to communicate in English when they have a thick accent. You can go to your safe spot now.

Weak....If a guy is hard to understand because he barely speaks English and someone points it out it's not xenophobic it's telling it how it is.

Here, let me give you a trophy for being brave enough to post this.

How is it hard to communicate? Do you interact with them on your job? Did the controller express his hardship for attempted communication? What exactly are you saying?

It's generally when something out of the ordinary is said by a controller.

Example:

Other day in CLT it was busy with a long line waiting to cross the center runway. Controller says something along the lines of "I'm gonna cross everyone and I'm gonna do it fast please only respond with your call sign so we can get everyone going". "12345 cross 36C E, E14 to the ramp call sign only" 12345 in a THICK accent reads the whole thing back. She cross 3 or 4 more acft without issue, then another guy in a THICK accent reads the whole thing back.

Kinda threw off what the controller was doing and probably ended up getting someone stuck on the other side that would've otherwise been crossed because it took a little too long. Is it a huge deal? No. But calling someone out for telling it how it is a little over sensitive, and to deny that it happens is naive.

This is America. You can't hurt my feelings without paying me money. My account is standing by.

What I'm saying is everytime I'm in some hub for a major airline, their feeders can't speak the English language to save their life! It's getting worse all the time! Is that clear enough for you??
