A friend just interviewed very recently. He said that Aviation Interviews was dead nuts on. Study that and your basic stuff, know how to brief an approach off a Jeppessen plate and your golden.

Know about VDP. How to calculate it for precision and non-precision approaches. (Loc only, VOR, GPS). Why is it important?

Be able to read jepp plates (airport diagram, SID, STAR, and approach). If you don't currently use them, find some online and study them.

This is what I did.

Pay the $19.95 for a subscription at aviationinterviews.com.
Read every gouge posted over the past six months. No need to read further back than that.

Hey bud, interview is pretty easy, PSA is will hire about anyone (not to burst your bubble) but just think long and hard before come to this place. Its gotta be one of the worst regionals in the industry. Flow to AA for new hires is about 25 years, do the math 1200 pilots at a rate of 5 a month. Terrible work rules, you'll be on reserve forever as an FO, and when you do hold a line, they displace and put you right back on reserve. I would look at Piedmont if you're looking for a flow through, I heard things are better over there. Best of luck buddy

Someone here is trolling for new hires so he can climb his pyramid scheme flow.

I know of several people in the last few months that have interviewed and were not hired. It is actually not that easy. We are getting lots of applications and we are being selective.

At this point, with the hiring that is going on at the majors, any decent pilot should be able to get hired outside of the flow at a decent major in just a few years. Flowing to the lowest paid major with the worst management (AAL) should not be anyone's first choice right now. Flow is a nice backup plan, but that should not be the reason to choose an airline. Look at quality of life and bases.
