Like he said, we don't really care about hp, or ibm, or the other industries and their problems unless we have friends or family involved in it. Just like the average joe doesn't give a crap abou asa, skywest, or anyone else. all they care about is the cheap ticket. The difference between us and other industries is we could get together and get everyone on the same page. all we are doing is hurting eachother. and in doing so taking the industry down a peg. So your thinking is what is really ridiculous. Not seeing the big picture is ridiculous. Everyone knows that those 900's were going to asa before delta sold them to skywest. Skywest took them from asa because they fly it cheaper, so they shut down slc, take the planes, and then all the sudden close a base in lax. now they are slowly putting guys on reserve in atl???? man dont be such a tard and think about what you are saying.

Ok, so it has nothing to do with pay........ but we got the 900's because we're cheaper. I'm having a hard time following that logic. Anyway I fully acknowledged that in all likelyhood the 900 ATL flying will likely grow on the SkyWest side. We will more than likely start a regular domicile there shortly. But I do not believe that SkyWest INC is this evil corporation that's taking a metaphorical bat, and beating ASA over the head with it. I think they are relocating their capital in a fashion that better suits the company. Lately it hasn't gone that well for ASA. I feel bad about that, I really do. I'm not Slappy. Maybe I'm naive to think that SkyWest will try to grow the ASA side with 200's and 700's, but that's what I believe. In general I trust the management of SkyWest to do what's best for the entire company. What's good for SkyWest is good for ASA and vice versa. After every arguement I have with the ASA guys, I say the same thing. We've only been running you for a short time. The transition is still going on. Your contract will hopefully be done soon, and you never know, SkyWest may just become your newest ALPA brother. Give it some time, and stop with the doomsday stuff. There are alot of other worse carriers/management you could be owned/run by.

you SCABWEST guys, oooooooooopppppppppppssssssssss I meant Skywest sorry:D hahah just kidding, but seriously who is going to do the flying out of LAX??????????

The scab comment is totally uncalled for

It's not going to be SkyWest anyway. That ASA LAX thing is DAL...Skywest already does UA out of LAX and UA does not allow it's regionals to operate for a competitor in the same hub.

My guess is that DL decided to let eagle continue to do the LAX flying, like they have been doing for years (using planes with Eagle paint jobs). This was an experiemnet to see if DL could get those routes flown with DL paint jobs...I guess it wasn't worth the trouble?

Or maybe they'll have XJet do it...I guess that would make YOU a scab then, right?

I know that this isn't skywests call but now they are starting reserve base in atl... what a bunch of a**holes. skywest is going to drag the industry down down down. i said it before and i will say it again. skywest is going to whipsaw the sh!t out of asa till there is nothing left.

Oh please.

ASA lost LAX because they are run like a nigerian e-mail scam. The airline is ALWAYS late, the managment doesn't care what equipment is neededc and The pilots are so bitter they'd rather sit in the cockpit for 2 hours than god-forbid load a bag.

If asa had an ontime performance above 50% maybe they would get some sympathy for that outragous raise they want.

Let me ask you this, if Skywest was soooooooooooooooo wonderful then why are you getting paid less as a 5 year (70seat) CA then other 5 year (50seat) CA's??????????????? Our management doest want larger airplanes becuase they know we would not do it for those rediculous rates, its called a UNION

by what 2$? Yeah thats pretty severe there. We make it up in work rules and profit sharing. There are more to wages than hourly rates and if we can take a hit for 1 or 2 bucks and get 50 airplanes a year and get flying over other carriers i'm 100% for that. Plus we don't have alpa so really our pay is 2% more than everyones.

But really its the growth, in 1.5 years you can be a captain on the jet here or 6 month on the emb. So by 5 years you're ready to move onto another airline.

Our work rules are faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr better than Skywests, you dont get it.................. we get paid more and our planes carry 20 seats less than yours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not sure if you get it, more seats means more revenue, which means the pilots SHOULD BE MAKING MORE in comparison, but you guys don't because you let your management take advantage of you.......................I forgot its just temporary for you, you will be at a "real" airline before you know it...................get a clue
