Base choices
Just looking into base choices but can't really make an idea. Going to be moving into base, single with no kids and can move anywhere, so flying a lot would be fun. How do you guys make your base choices? The most amount of time, greatest trips? I don't mind doing 3-5 day trips - but what's yalls thought process on choosing the best base? and why? what do you think is the best?

Not CMH because OSU and their fans suck. IND is a good midwestern town which has pretty much everything and nice suburbs around the airport. As the other has mentioned, good trips and a lot of FOs so you know you will quickly have more come in behind you moving you up in seniority. Also, TSA and the rampers don't hate us there as much as they do in CMH.

Great choice, moving to base sure beats commuting. Especially at the outstations which have early morning shows. Something to consider though is if you plan to use your travel benefits to visit family or friends. The base you choose could influence how easy those trips would be. Also the base seniority for captains is different. See my post in the Junior Lines & Base Assignments thread about how easy it is to upgrade in each base.
