Default First Officer BASE DROPS- Initial and Monthly

I'll try and keep this updated every month so the question doesn't always get asked in the other threads... only doing FO's since Captain upgrades are years away and anyone in that position is already doing this themselves.

If you do not get the base you wanted in training, you have the opportunity to bid every month for a new base. The monthly base bid at Republic is done four months in advance of when the pilot will move to said awarded base. This Month's bid (May, 2017) was for awards in September, 2017... It is possible you could be asked to move there prior to your awarded month.

I'm going to post both metrics, the Date of Hire for last person that is physically in the base and the Date of Hire for those who have been awarded the base. This will give an idea for the trend of how the bases are being awarded.

I will post May's info momentarily in a new reply.

Should the first ord date be 2016? I'm trying to choose between skywest and republic, but I have been told Chicago is taking 6 months or more at republic. Accurate? Thanks, guys.

You'll get ORD with no problem at SkyWest

Default MIA as new hire?

Just moved to KFLL and thinking about Republic in KMIA - 25 mile drive that probablly would take an hour.

How likely or un?

BTW when was the last CA upgrade? On APC is showes 2013. I thought one of the reasons for the BR was lack of pilots, and I'm sure combined with low pay.

Thanks in advance.

I'm on pace for a 2.5 year upgrade. Your results may vary. Someone upgrading now has waited around 4 years.
