Compass rumor again?
This is the 2nd trip I’m hearing the “YX is buying Compass” rumor again and apparently “BB is hinting at it but cannot legally release any information,” which apparently wont be until late summer in a press release....
Anyone else encounter this on the line?
Or is this just 2 CA’s that have nothing better to do than play the gullible game.

Haven't heard anything, but we sure could use a fresh new old rumor to boost morale around base camp. Apparently BB was dropping some of his famous nuggets of nothingness at the company party that "big things are coming that I can't talk about right now." I'm not holding my breath on the Compass rumor, though...this seems to be a yearly revolving door rumor that never comes to any sort of fruition.

I'm currently an FO at CPZ, I feel like the same rumors at at both companies at the moment. But more or less over here if the ship is gonna sink next summer, I hope we at least allowed the chance for a buyout by another airline so I'm not out of a job.

Is that what they tell you? Remember, you’re under ALPA at a regional, not mainline. BIG difference on what kind of “representation” you get when the same Union is representing the guys you’re flying for as well.
The Teamsters trucker Union sucks at times, but I would much rather be represented by them away from ALPA while I’m at a regional.
It’s not just mainline management that prevents flying from coming in-house, ALPA has a hand in keeping the regional system thriving for the benefit of the real pilot groups they represent.
