Adding to this list...

Travel benefits on all three airlines. Pilot's at other places laugh, but honestly, if you like traveling, you will quickly realize how beneficial it is to be able to use all three of the majors to get around.

I see a lot of info here about how to get into Republic, but what is the attrition like and where is it coming from/ going to?

Captains leaving to American, Delta, United, Southwest. 3-4 year FOs leaving to Spirit, Allegiant, Jetblue, and similar. I think that's fairly typical in the regionals right now. As an almost-two-year FO, I move up the list a steady 15-25 per month.

I wouldn't even say FO's need to have been here for 3-4 years. A guy from my class was picked up by AA before even hitting the line for IOE and this was his first 121 gig. Recently two FO's announced being hired at Atlas and JetBlue. The Atlas person was here for 18 months I believe they said and the JetBlue FO around a year.

Either way though, I honestly believe most of the people leaving are moving up and are not leaving us to go to some other regional.

The indications I got while in Indy this week was that pilots are leaving to go on to other LCC's, Cargo or Majors. Some (say <7% or even smaller) are retiring or leaving the industry all together from RAH.

BTW there is another name change in the works. You will start seeing more Republic Airline(s) instead of Republic XXX Holding. Then again I'll believe it when I see it or the certificate changes. Then again as long as my check clears and the pay is accurate - IDK or care who write / signs it.

Since leaving bankruptcy the newly formed, reorganized and privately held company's name is REPUBLIC AIRLINE. Period. Holdings no longer exists as of that date. It just takes time to change all the letterheads, placards, manuals, etc. Guessing you didn't read any of the memos or updates.

Geardownflaps30 - how about looking at everything from the outside until my interview on Monday past. It is one of the minutia details I picked up on. So I shared... Meh.

And what you shared was incorrect. You have been schooled. Welcome to the fold. Cooperate and graduate. It's a fun ride!

Actually, that's not quite right, either. Republic Airways still exists, albeit in a completely reorganized form. The change to Republic Airline was because during the reorganization process it was discovered that the original certificate was issued as "Airline" without the "S". The only way to correct it would have been to go through an entire certification process again. So, we got our S kicked in bankruptcy.

Thank you Hal9000

My point with writing it as: " Republic Airline(s)" is we were told by Josh, form H.R., that we will see a MIXTURE of names for the company. E.g. Republic Holdings, Republic Airlines, AND Republic Airline.

It takes a while to print new stationary, contracts, update PR & Training materials along with associated logo, etc.

My point is whatever it says as long as my paycheck is accurate it can be from whomever!

Class dismissed.
