Hey guys ive Noticed most regionals allow you to start training at 1475 since you get the rest in the sim does republic allow that or you need 1500?

Yes, if their training wasnt delayed. They are now offering you the money, NOT from your bonus, to finish the time and get the full 1500 (if you're within like 25 hours or so) while you're home waiting for them to bring you back to indoc and systems training.

I would check with the recruiters though before you can say definitively. For our class (8/21) they wanted us to have 1494 total time and the 44 multi. At that point they were only expecting you to be able to count the 6 hours of FFS from the ATP-CTP towards your totals.

The reason being is that the orals are now done before sims and they can't do the orals and the associated IACRA paperwork without you having all the hours requirements. If delays ease up I would expect them to go back to the above requirements.

So like I said - check in with your recruiter.

Does getting AQP throw much of a wrench into any of this?

I was never told until I got to Indoc that they're paying for the last hours that you need, NOT coming out of the FTI, which does come out of your bonus.

Some people in my class got kind of screwed by spending money out of the FTI to get their hours, only to be told once they got to class people that didn't have the required flight time would have that time paid for without any coming out of the bonus.

Just so you're aware of the big picture dynamic. A recruiter may tell you one thing, and I don't think anyone can guarantee that anyone will or won't get that benefit once they get there.

The honest answer? It changes constantly and you won't truly know until you get to INDOC or they say to you "get your hours then call us back". There is nothing in writing and the company is going to do whatever is in best interest for them.
