I don't remember a atpctp practical test. There were flights but it wasn't really a test. They're required flights in whatever ME sim they have available (I flew 737, bus and 757 but I'm not typed in those)

I think you're confused, maybe about type rating versus atpctp. To get your type rating you take multiple "tests" or validations to get typed. All in the 175 sim. Atpctp just requires a ME sim

You hit, or I hit, 1500 while in the 175 sim.

I do not know what the atpctp "practical" test is you're taking about.

If you got a certificate saying you have your atpctp then you have your atpctp. It's good for 5 years iirc and you need to get typed before 5 years runs out

If you're worried, post a pic of your certificate with your info scratched out

Sorry yah your right i will hit 1500 in the sims at republic. The email the ATP-CTP course sent me is super confusing then cause it says to bring the cert i got to a "practical exam" but it sounds like the sim time and hours is all you need and there isnt necesarilly a "checkride" for the ATP-CTP cert?

yes, print out the certificate and bring it with to your 175 LOE checkride.

What headset plug do I buy?
Bose has the following and I am not sure which to select:

Bluetooth, 6 pin plug
Bluetooth, 5 pin XLR
No bluetooth, 6 pin plug
No bluetooth, 5 pin XLR

Also I'm assuming the headset I select works with the simulators as well? Thanks!

GA 2 plug works. If you wanted to skip the batteries, it's the 5 pin XLR plug. Bluetooth is up to you, it ain't gonna be connecting to the plane 😉

Dunno if the 5 pin XLR works in the sim, but the only time you'll be using a headset is once, for your LOE. Most just skip the added bulk of a headset and use the crappy Walkman style telex for that (yes they are a shared piece of equipment that never gets cleaned, FWIW).
