SDF as an FO and CA? I would like to move somewhere I can hold as both relatively easily, don’t see many people talking about SDF. Is it a **** place to live?

I've held SDF as an FO since I was in indoc (fall 2019) and am now sitting at just about the middle of the base seniority list. I commute in (drive) from about two hours south but people I've talked to that live in base seem to like the town. Haven't ran into a CA that I wouldn't fly with again, lots of senior guys from the Shuttle/Frontier/Q/Chautauqua days here.

I'm a fall 2018 hire and I got SDF for January as a CA and I won't be the most junior there. I live in Indy so I can't speak to living in Louisville but I am there quite often and it's a decent enough city

And to continue on this, you could always live south in like Lexington or in between. Beautiful country side out there. Just saying.

I grew up a few hours south west from there. Used to go there every now and then. I've since lived all over the country, and I have to say Kentucky is one of the most beautiful places, and one of America's best kept secrets. The smaller towns tend to be a little back woods-y and redneck (in my experience at least), but as a previous guy said, Lexington and Louisville are cool cities.
