I’m not mad or trying to blame anyone or sound ungrateful for the Republic folks that routinely get me to and from work. I was just curious if this was a week of incredibly bad luck or if there was something bigger that I should be aware of so I can prepare for future commutes. I guess it was just bad luck this week.
I was partly being facetious. Republic probably has the least Maintenance issues of all the Regionals. That is what makes us the most reliable out of all of them, but a little more expensive for the Majors to use. Delta mainline cost me a day a pay a month ago. It happens, you just ran into a string of bad luck.

They’re the nicest and cleanest 200s I’ve been on, and I’ve had no problems commuting on ZW frequently.

The sooner those things get retired the better.

For the record, I wasn’t trying to make any comparisons between two companies. I wasn’t trying to imply one airline or airplane or pilot group or mx group is better than another. I have no beef with Republic. I never have and I’m not trying to start any now. I was just genuinely curious because in the 15+ years I’ve been doing this I’ve never experienced 2 flights affected by 3 planes with serious write ups in a 4 day stretch.

Anecdotally regional aircraft don’t seem to age as well as Boeing of yore.

Probably just bad luck. In my personal experience at YX, maintenance issues are far and few between. Just an anecdote.

Oh dear gawd ain’t that true ... best thing about retirement is not commuting... Mesa was worst and Air Willy right behind.
