New 175s will be replacing those 170s one for one on the UA certificate.
This is a sizeable chunk of net growth on the AA side if it comes to fruition. No net growth for UA operations, though.

Our 170s being flown under the UA brand are being converted to 65 seats and being flown for AA.

To the best of my knowledge, our pre-COVID high water mark was 2502, which I believe we officially surpassed on the December seniority list. And that number was planned staffing for the Compass airframes. While I don't think we're there yet, I also don't think we're as far off from being able to staff additional airframes as others might, at least based on total numbers on property. The real issue is going to be whether we have enough CAs. This is the second month in a row we haven't filled all our CA vacancies (this month it was 36 out of 60 filled), which is the clearest sign yet that we have a lot of FOs who either don't have the FAA or contractually-required times to upgrade, and/or don't want to give up their existing position for an upgrade. We have a lot of each, and it's going to be something the company struggles with. Good leverage for the pilots, especially if the company comes asking to reduce our 2500 TT upgrade requirement. We have a lot of R-ATPs who aren't currently eligible because of that contract provision.

I don't know exactly how many people we gained, but we lost 65 pilots off the list in November. They've been adding about 90-100 per month lately, so I'd guess we netted somewhere in the ballpark of 25 pilots last month.
