Contract

“Economic Proposal” in other words BB expects a recession and doesn’t believe he’d be able to sustain higher Pilot wages should that recession occur. So they are offering you a 50 cent raise. Then when the recession will be formally announced (after the Nov Election) and he will then go back asking for concessions. Hopefully RPA members don’t fall for this. If he wants concessions, it needs to be from a record breaking, industry leading contract. Otherwise the bleeding will continue. The question is how long does BB want to remain CEO & in business? RPA is NOT a publicly traded company so no shareholders to please. He does need to focus on pleasing the employees or he will have no employees. Ask Eastern Airlines how that worked out.
The media will downplay it until after the elections if they can ignore the growing unrest that long.

We're already 5 days into a recession. The definition is the completion of two consecutive losing quarters. That was June 30th. It's now July 5th, we are 5 days into a recession.

Edit: Preliminary 2Q22 GDP will be released 28 July 2022. Until then, educated speculation and a quarter will get you a cup off coffee.

The rjet management played this card years ago and ended up running everyone off. Rjet hasn’t been the pillar of pilot contacts very long. Rjet used to be a crap hole where pilots only got paid when the door closed and god be with you if there was a delay. With todays pilot market, they are heading down that road again. If they pay $70 hr for an FO they may make it through this, if not they will be gone in 2-3 yrs if not sooner!!

Additionally, idk a single low-ish time FO getting on over there from RPA. 3 people were in JB’s NH class. Average flight time to JB from RPA is around the 2200 TT mark. But again, you’d know that if you were in any of our FB pages

It is a transition course, BUT everyone has to go through the same training. Whether it’s adding a type rating or already typed and just getting the blessing from the company to hit the line. But you’d know that if… you we’re a… idk an airline pilot
