New Hire training footprint
Does anyone here has an idea on how many weeks we stay in IND? Validations, etc.?
Thanks |
Back in the old days it was just a day or two in Indy for indoc, then to FSI STL for Jetstream initial, then they give you a couple of days to drive to PIT for bounces before reporting to JST or AOO to start your first weekend shift.

In total, about 5 weeks in indy, split up into 4 different stays (indoc, shift, efpt, GB LOFT)

I have a date with RPA, does anyone know if there are any training delays, and if they are still doing their stipend for FO's?
|
There was just a teams chat on this. They said that there weren’t any training delays. They also said that total compensation for the first month is $1800. After that is your normal guarantee.

My LOE to IOE was exactly a month to the day. Indoc to LOE was 69 days. Can be longer if either you or your sim partner fails or needs extra training.
After the 30 day stipend, you get min guarantee plus per diem of 24/7. The per diem really shines through when you come in for EFPTs cuz that starts your month long stretch away from the house. Hope this helps! |
New Hire training footprint
Hi all - interested in living in/flying out of CLT. Can anyone say how long to get that base for new hire FO's? Also - wondering what the wait time is currently averaging from CJO to training start date?

I heard that we are filling classes in August? I could be totally wrong though so don’t quote me. |

Unfortunately, CLT is only a maintenance base for us, not a crew base.

How does one know which are crew bases and which are maintenance? I don’t see how to differentiate on the “bases” map.

Is there still the 17,500 sign on stipend.

$17,000 over 5 years? More like a retention bonus. You get $1000 on your first pay check

In this market I wouldn't sign it. The bonus is so back end heavy, for some it creates a problem when they leave at year 4 and have to pay it back, or so they say. 17,500 over 5 years really isn't all that much when you average it out, especially when they tax you on it. Just my opinion though.

Do you have to sign something for their retention bonus?

Yes, they send a promissory note with the CJO.

Okay, I didn't see that in my CJO. I enrolled in the cadet program a bit ago.

It comes through when you have to sign the CJO when you transition from Cadet to FO. That’s what happened to me.

Okay, do you have to repay it all back if you leave in 6-24 months?

Is anyone in Dallas today for ATP-CTP this week? I am on my way, but have not received any information from Flight Safety as far as itinerary or schedule. I assume it's at 8 am, but I can't get a confirmation.

You should have gotten an email from flight safety, you can use it to set up a flight Safety account and see your schedule. It should be Mon-Thur ground school followed by two sims. Class starts at 8:30 I believe. Have fun with Mark, great guy.

Is there still an email issue? I have CTP on Monday and still haven’t heard anything except my flights to Dallas.

Some guys were actually sent to ATP, so I'm not completely sure. Our class was in 3201 E Airfield Dr, Dallas, TX 75261. I would guess that's where you'd be heading as well.
Our class was about 50/50 Atp vs flight Safety also flight Safety north/south are in the same building just different doors. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Is 90 days from indoc to IOE completion accurate?
How's the training quality at republic? How does the erj fly compared with the crj? |

Is the wait for IOE still quite long at Republic?

Define quite long. SkyWest is currently sitting at 3-4 months, for reference.
