It would not be normal for a CA to accept that dispatch.

It isn't like quite we're hurting for FOs lolz
If they left in good standing and Republic is hiring they can come back with seniority and longevity for up to a year. After that it changes to a certain formula that I dont know

Article 9.F.1. does state that every pilot who left under good terms "SHALL be allowed to return. . ."

Yep, you keep your seniority for up to 1 year of separation and 50% seniority for separation greater than 1 year but no more than 5 years. After 5 years of separation, you return at the bottom.

that's the kind of short term give away bargaining that created B-scales. In essence this is too. Now you can have two pilots with different protections in the same CBA. Bad precedent.

It absolutely is. Idk how this is enforceable given the very specific language in the CBA.

still haven't read the contract huh, lolz

no one is forced to upgrade. you can stay a fo forever, the contract only requires 5 years btw. or leave early and figure out the penalty. but I'm going to upgrade at 1k to get that big paycheck and big bonus. you?

So 5 years or 2 years as CA? Which comes first? Which comes out to.. about 5 years? Math ain’t mathin.

Me? I’m at my forever airline. Which I was able to accomplish by not signing my life away to a regional (AA WOs at the time). Had a blast at RPA, but not worth selling your soul. You were told this though and didn’t listen because “nO oNe ElSe WaS hIrInG”.

Almost a 1/3 of my NH class at my legacy were career 135 guys with no 121 time. Could’ve gone that route and saved yourself.

Regardless, it’s neither here nor there. Enjoy your upgrade and your paycheck and bonus. Nothing at the regionals is free and you certainly paid it with your soul. Godspeed, Bricky.

I'm a different gen than you or we were just raised differently I'm happy for you. if you're actually at a legacy I'm happy for your 135 class mates . I don't live my life comparing myself to others. I don't delight or dance when I see others with "misfortune". again, no one else was hiring. again, I had CJOs and interviews but no class date. so I took the job that was hiring. seems like a wise decision as I'm looking at buying a house next year. I'll be a CA by early '25 or late '24. that's 3 years by my math. I'm fine with it. like I said, my life is about way more than my job. it's not how I find happiness I don't look down at anyone and others being "stuck" doesn't make me happy. too each their own

to answer there are about 40 guys and gals that are starting the upgrade class and that's expected to grow as more of us contract signers come through
