Republic passes the "last best offer"

Lets hope not, right? Else management trolls and lifers (nothing against them, just how they affect the market with their votes) will be out of a job . And management-lifer-trolls will be in even deeper.
Oh wait! Now that's what I call a win-win-win.

The number of lifers at Republic is slowly decreasing. I know guys who left to go to United after 20 years at Republic. Many of the top 300 are moving on, but the old, and those who can't get hired at mainline will ride it until the end.

Republic Interview Process
I just received an email from RA stating they are beginning a new "virtual" interview process on Skype that is nearly identical to the on-site process...anyone have any particulars / practical experience with that?
Thanks

How they are handling the sim part is another question. If they are skipping sims for prior 121 and doing these virtual interviews, that seems just like a streamlined and modern way of doing things. Now if they are skipping the sims for fresh 121 pilots then that is something to worry about. But other airlines do phone interviews so who knows...

Will they be asked to fog the web cam lens just to be sure? I can see that happening at Mesa, psa, and blowjet

I wouldn't say that is too crazy. Virtual interviews have been done in other industries for some time now.

Im a newer hire here despite following the advice of the forum and going elsewhere. I have loved every minute and the new contract rolling out is just an added bonus if it passes. Every single pilot I have ran in to has been super friendly and ready to drop anything they're doing to help me if I have a question or need help. That goes for the same with everybody on the corporate side too. For as many pilots as we have, if I send an email to payroll, crew scheduling, etc. it is usually answered within a few hours. If you call they don't ever get ****ed off or agitated no matter how stupid the question might sound. The EFBs are nice and all the training facilities and instructors were superb.
And from every pilot Ive talked to since the LBFO rolled out, they've said they're going to vote yes if it goes to vote.

Ok, without sounding like such a b*tch, I will agree with this post. I've been here for 8 months now and have had a similar experience, despite people telling me otherwise on the almighty Internet. Getting off reserve in a couple months time helped greatly.
