Yup. 30-40 new hires each month. 30-40 people leaving each month. This is one of the main reasons we are still parking airplanes (145's) and rejecting leases (170/175's, older ones, 17 so far by last count) during the bankruptcy. Shrinking to a fleet size that they can staff.

Is that not what he said?

For more perspective, about 180 people have been hired since Jan 1.

Anyone based out of ORD looking for/know of anyone looking for a roommate in Chicago?

Seems fairly low given Republic has one of the best pay in the industry. Arguably the best, given it's not based on bonuses that could disappear.

But it makes sense given the bankruptcy.

Base structure is one factor.

Understanding the years of bad management:pilot relations is another factor I expect.

What do you mean by base structure? Too many bases spread out over smaller cities, I.e a lot of commuting?

What's the likelihood of getting ORD out of training? Is ORD a junior or a senior pilot base?

Hello, considering making the jump to Republic from 135. Question about bases, live in Orlando and would like to eventually end up in MIA. I know it will take a while so I would put down LGA or EWR since I have family up there. How does that work for me if I fly for UA and then AA? Meaning would I have to trade-in uniforms? Learn new res/ops systems? Benefits? Thanks

If you like uncommutable day trips and spending your time off trying to get to and from LGA/EWR, then Republic is for you.
