Is it possible to get ORD right out of training? If so how long would one expect to sit on reserve?
Any info is appreciated. |

Contract says its 2 hours to report time, then your normal 45 minutes. Company says it's 2 hours to push.

I wouldn't pick RAH for a base unless it were IND, PHL or NYC area.

That's pretty clear...not. Everyone lives by the "2 hours to report" in the contract then, right? Or is the contract open to interpretation on this?

Pretty much everything in our CBA is open to "interpretation" depending on what particular catastrophe is currently in progress. Pilot "A" may gently remind scheduling of the CBA language and get an apology and the allotted time to show. Pilot "B" may do the same thing yet be threatened with disciplinary action if they refuse to capitulate. The IBT says "fly it and grieve it, ain't nothing we can do". It's kinda like dealing with a bipolar uncle, but ya get used to it. Most folks just roll with it. Ya don't want to rock the boat too much at what should hopefully be a short stop on your way to a major.
The FAQs are pretty explicit on this. I would throw that in their face as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
