This is unofficial mind you, but I have a guy on the inside. He tells me the status is "broken" or in layman's terms "gonnabebeercans". Don't quote me.

This landing had nothing to do with letting the nose drop after the mains were on the runway and everything to do with forcing the airplane onto the runway after a bounce.

Heard unofficially “Boeing still evaluating.”

Likely in the $3-4 million range. Sounds expensive...except when you are down a dozen+ airplanes, and none can be had at any reasonable price, without waiting many months or years.

I think it might get fixed, if it can be done in less than 5-6 months, since we probably need the lift.

Tower cam

EWR Tower has a camera trained on the landing runways. It’ll be interesting to watch, when/if they release the video.

...and if we do get to see the video, it should explain graphically the result of the new rote UPRT training. .....

It’s been very quiet on this and no one seems to know what the aircrafts fate is. Wonder why......

New trend?.. Heard anything recently about a widebody flying into the ground near Houston?

Make an anonymous call to USA Today about it being a 757 MAX and it will be front page.
