Falcon 900EX Accident Reveals Non-Cert PIC
This happened Feb. 13, 2021. The NTSB Final Report just came out. The pilot flying this Falcon 900EX EASy held no certificates at the time of the accident because they had been revoked 2 years previously for falsifying logbook data, including entries and records for pilot proficiency checks, competency checks, and training events (He was a check airman). And he had never held a type rating for the Falcon.
-The jet was 2975lbs overweight
-incorrect stab trim setting
-the runway was 600 feet shorter that what was needed
-CG almost to the forward limit
-Rotation was attempted at a speed 23 knots slower than the calculated speed
The aircraft crashed off the end of the runway after it was unable to obtain rotation. The six occupants all escaped unharmed.
This pilot needs to be in jail.

The FAA can't take away his certificates again, seeing as they're already gone.
The stick and the carrot had no meaning.

Neither enforcement action, nor risk to life or limb, nor legal consequence proved to be any deterrent.
We all do things which might kill us. Our jobs, for example. It doesn't prevent us or discourage us from going to work. It certainly won't discourage someone who isn't concerned with the rules.

Not the first 3-engine Falcon come to grief with an unqualified crew, Greenville in 2018. I’m not sure what’ll stop this nonsense, but at one time honor and self-respect worked. Then again, EA had a captain in the 60s flying without an actual FAA certificate.
