This thing is ‘experimental’ and supposedly the people get locked in from the outside so even if they’re on the surface they wouldn’t be able to get out.
It has no points or hatch that a rescue craft can be connected to.
One millionaire pax refused to go when he inspected this “craft”.
I think this was a problem waiting to happen.
Group of millionaires will now become famous for an unintended reason.

Stuffed crust, five-cheese, double pepperoni pizza with olives and mushrooms for dinner?

You're right.

This is how bad this is: All the inevitable condescending media outrage about something they don't understand is going to be completely justified in this case.

Just got around watching the blogger video, why was I expecting seats and seatbelts and breathing equipment and lots screens and gauges?
You know like in a ‘real’ sub versus sitting on a yoga mat?

Coast Guard is reporting the nose cone and other debris from the vehicle has been found by an ROV 1200 feet from the Titanic wreck. Looks like they died instantly.

It's reported as a catastrophic implosion.

I was shocked to learn the main part of the vessel was made of composite fiber. Apparently the "nose cone" is titanium (I think).

I'm guessing some sort of fatigue stress fracture after a few round trips to those depths will take their toll sooner or later. Shame there was no requirement for testing before accepting money for the tours.

I feel bad for the customers, who probably didn't have the background to fully appreciate how risky this outfit's operation was.
