Regardless, we are not going to perpetuate a falsehood that he failed training. It’s disparaging and inappropriate. Not to mention irrelevant to his abilities as a CRJ captain.
fair enough. I acknowledge my wording wasn’t the best.

In order for a threat to be a threat, then a penalty or undesirable threat must be overtly manifest as a potential outcome, or implied.

"Knock it off" is a clear direction. It is unambiguous. It has military significance, but that notwithstanding, the meaning is clear. It says "stop." Just stop.

The person making that command is a moderator. The moderators have already deleted numous posts in this thread because it's gone off the rails repeatedly (in every case, pursuing rumors and speculation, often presented as fact, and in a number of cases, presented as "inside information" that was sure...and has since proven false).

Knock-it-off seems a reasonable, legitimate response. Why so difficult to comprehend?

He would have to be on the list for at least 5 months to have failed out

This.

That’s exactly how it worked. So it could very well be true and not a corporate spin he didn’t flow due to failures. Can’t flow if you don’t show up. Would also explain why he is on the list for 3 months. Delta is very good at spin but I didn’t read too deeply into it. Especially if you understand how the flow works. Unfortunately, smut sells.

the dude who put the atlas jet in the water screwed this up for everybody. I don’t trust anyone’s record anymore.

Delta can end all doubt with a simple statement.

Guesswork is always impressive.
so are you suggesting we never opine, or speculate on any accident, until a month goes by, or years. OK. I was very interested in the American/Delta near collision at JFK on takeoff roll. I knew someone in one of the jets involved. It was well over a year before the report finally came out. Sometimes you can learn a few things, just hanger talking.
Like I said whatever we say doesn't mean anything, or affect any outcome. How's the view from that Ivory Tower?

You (Delta pilots) made the claim he failed out of the Delta schoolhouse so you prove it, the onus is not on someone else to prove your claim is false. Good grief this is embarrassing.

That's just it . Anyone can and has screwed up and we are all capable of making mistakes regardless of gender , color or level of experience. I mean the worst commercial Airliner disaster ever at Tenerife was the result of a captain that was a chief 747 instructor/LCP not simply confirming a TO clearance. Who can forget NW 255 or Delta 191? The Hibbing crash ?

Except the Atlas dude had a consistent track record of screwing up and really had no place being a pilot.
