Default Delta Jet Lands Safely After Engine Fails on

Glad everyone made it safe. I am sure it was because of the expertly trained crew. I wonder if it was even a mixed crew? That would be great.

LAX FO and NYC captain.

We parked next to the plane this evening in FLL... I kept wondering why they had the hood popped and then put 2 and 2 together.

Engines do fail. Some of the biggest engine issues I've heard at Delta weren't publicized. So that's to say, this happens. Sometimes it makes the news, sometimes it doesn't.

That's to say, without having numbers and comparisons between one airline and another, or at least a story that has done that footwork for us, there is no way to tell if we have below average number of failures but they make the news, average or above average. It'd be interesting to know.

Now when both engines start failing I'll pay attention.

Incorrect...

It was an Atlanta crew, the LAX crew replaced them.

Incorrect...do your homework. It was a split NYC and LAX crew. No ATL guys involved at all.

OK guys pick up your books and go to class. Who cares where they're from... What is important is that they're members of the same team and the outcome was successful.

If it was the LAX FO Rep, he was on the wrong jet. The Sec/Tres is a 73N FO though, and yes, great guy.
