Default Wheel falls off...

BBC News - Flybe plane passengers 'saw wheel fall off'
Is that pronounced "Flibe" or "Fly-be"?
Thank goodness for observant passengers!

could you blame mx? I don't think you can since this has happened before in two different parts of the world. Any mx people out there want to comment on this particular wheel assembly?

I like how these videos are always taken by a "terrified" passenger that is obviously not following the regulations and no one ever mentions that fact. They are violating the regulations by filming during takeoff / landing.

Friend of mine who flies the MD11 had one come off during taxi and pass them while taxing down hill.

That video was hilarious. I can only imagine the corrective action: "Wheel found and reinstalled on aircraft. Ops checked good."

Man, Bombardier just can't seem to catch a "brake" on those right landing gear, can they?

I have a buddy at SWA who had that happen a couple years ago. Another friend of mine from AAY was riding their the jumpseat when it happened. One of the right main gear wheels broke off on landing and a pax notified the FA. Upon inspection the metal on the axel of the 737-300 was corroded all the way through.
