Default Las Vegas Sightseeing Helicopter Crash

Another good accident read. Not a good outcome for the pilot and passengers obviously, but the accident investigation is fascinating IMO. They were able to ascertain that a critical bolt was not attached at the time of the accident, inferring that it came loose and flew off, which caused the loss of control and subsequent crash. The investigation goes in depth with the maintenance interviews and materials analysis.

Accident ID DCA12MA020 Mode Aviation occurred on December 07, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV United States Last Modified on June 12, 2012 15:06 Public Released on June 15, 2012 09:06 Total 71 document items
