It amazes me the scumbags this industry attracts. Do other industries say that as well? Are there just an exorbitant amount of scumbags on this planet, or is it just in aviation?
They are everywhere, in every industry.

Politics seems to attract more than their share, I guess because there's no actual work involved, all you have to do is be a good BS'r and go to dinner.

But once elected, they never leave!

Most aircraft are seized by either the bank who owns it or the IRS. Either way make sure all your debts are paid up to date. Worked for a bank in which seized everything from a little Cessnas to 747s

read: illegal charter

"Esquino told the Los Angeles Times in a telephone interview from Mexico City that the singer was considering buying the aircraft from Starwood for $250,000 and the flight was offered as a test ride."

that 'demo flight' crap won't hold water, she was on a road tour. I'm wondering who booked the trip with them?

It is indeed the Harley Davidson sportster of jets yet supremely unforgiving if operated carelessly. The NTSB database is full of multi-thousand hour 20-30 series Lear pilots no longer with us.
Sportster is only one step up from a moped.
