Because it is a mishap which is part of the reason why the safety forum was created in the first place. Threads that deal with SAFETY issues go in the SAFETY forum. I find it difficult to understand why people find this confusing. Even the description of the Safety forum holds a small clue:
"Safety Accidents, suggestions on improving safety, etc"

Some rumors that the asst chief pilot was aboard, and also that the CA and the FO showed less than 100 hours each of MD-11 time on the flight release.
