They bring up the same holes in the theory that the forum members have pointed out - I thought it more of a semantics issue than anything wrong with what is being claimed.
The author is claiming the ability o change certain aspects of the FMS - which may or may not be accurate; but I didn't read the article in a way saying thathe could hack into the airplane's system and override the A/P or actually change the flight prameters (no kidding taking control of the aircraft and flying it in a different manner)

I know people in the "hacking world" and this is very possible. What a lot of people don't realize are hackers actually hack to show security flaws in a lot of cases.
If they were bad guys, they would never announce how they did things.
Back to the issue, there are serious flaws in the new systems.
