Old OPS Manuals Needed
I am currently writing the book 58 November concerning my father's hijacking. I am interested in old OPS manuals that had the hijacking procedures from 1968-1974. I am trying to analyze the changes that took place during these years where PIC authority and hijacking procedures evolved.
I do know that the first signature between Sec John Volpe and Atty Gen John Mitchell was signed on Sept 9, 1970. This was the agreement where PIC could use transponder codes (3100 in those days) and use flaps as signals to notify authorities if armed intervention was being requested, or if no armed intervention was needed.
Being able to see Ops manuals from that time would help my research a great deal. If you would be willing to help please contact me. You help and name will be added to the book if you so desire, and a signed copy will be sent to you as well.
I hope I hear from you all.
