Ok so you have a flap indication and you might have a flap hanging out there adding an additional 25% burn what do ya do now continue to your alternate??

Yes. I'll make it easier for you: unlike our other airplanes, the flaps are more dynamic on the 787 and it is possible that the poster I responded to was unaware that the 787 has cruise flaps.
