9-year-old flies alone from Minneapolis to Las Vegas without a boarding pass - U.S. News

Well, if you don't have money to pay for a ticket, this is the only way to get to Vegas.

Legit question is how did this happen ? Doesn't TSA require a boarding pass + photo ID ? I mean, a nine year old kid ? Really ?

Next up is the agent at the jet bridge ? Isn't a scanned boarding pass (and maybe with ID, not sure) required to board ? ID or not, is this kid 6 feet tall and 180 ? Did someone not wonder where his adult relative was mom/dad/uncle or ask how is this kid traveling alone, where is the paperwork/coordination on file for this minor to travel ?

So basically, a nine year old kid bypassed multiple layers of protection designed to prevent this very thing.

If humans are sneaking past security, what about a bunch of suitcases ? Containing god knows what.

Imagine a professional, intelligence agency or network, using operatives against us.

The bigger question, how did a child get past a Delta gate agent without a boarding pass/UM papers??

Once again TSA shows us how much of a joke they really are ...... And they will prob get more funding from this incident claiming then need some new technology that captures short people as they are now the threat ....
