You asked a valid question, Mike, but of course in true APC (immature) fashion, you received mostly snark in return. I KNOW you have common sense about the issue, but were asking about FOM. Apparently, the kids have reading comprehension problems or never want to miss a chance to puff their skinny, hairless chests out and show what badasses they are (or THINK they are). I'm thinking Napoleonic complexes.

Sigh, maybe it's time for another break from APC.

I think it's completely reasonable considering you're expecting a policy to exist.

Please don't....we need all the maturity we can get on here, before the kids are running the asylum!

Occasionally I was offered food from flight attendants and passengers. I graciously thanked them and when the door was closed, I threw the food away. Simple.

Let me amend my remarks. There was a flight attendant that I flew with for many years that went out of the way to bring in fabulous homemade meals that were delicious!

All of the goodies I've gotten have been Kit Kats, M&Ms, stuff like that, which I will always eat. If I ever got baked goods I'd eat them but only if I knew the person who made them. We have a tiny crew base so the chances of that are good
Side note, bringing treats for pilots when jump seating is a sure way to get all the pilots to love you! I go out of my way to buy cookies once a trip for our flight attendants and return the favor. It's amazing what a 99 cent cookie will do for morale

The only time I take food for the crew is if I am flying late Christmas Day. Then I take an Oreo cookies and cream fudge my wife makes every year. But I make sure I know the crew and am reasonably sure I don't have to eat all of it.

I won't eat food offered to me by passengers. As several others said earlier in this thread, we are a target. Eating food from someone I don't know just doesn't make sense.

To answer the earlier question, there's nothing I've seen in my current FOM or in any other FOM I've used during my career.
