Perhaps the answer should be influenced by what you would say to the feds if you go off the end.

I thought the same thing about grooved runways, but that isn't true. According to AC 91-79A, only completely dry runways qualify for dry runway performance. If the manufacturer produces performance numbers for grooved runways, then you can use that number in lieu of the standard increased distance.
Not suggesting there's any general rule to that effect.

Some manufacturers provide supplemental FAA-approved AFM data for operation on wet grooved runways. Manufacturers
may also provide supplemental advisory landing distance data for conditions beyond those required by regulation; however, they are not used in lieu of the advised 15 percent safety margin.
