Perhaps the answer should be influenced by what you would say to the feds if you go off the end.

Yeah, and in the above link it shows a 5-9 kt tailwind while landing on the shortened, wet runway. That's not a favororable combination, tell ATC to turn the airport into the wind.

The FAA seems to say t'hell with the manufacturer:

Some manufacturers provide supplemental FAA-approved AFM data for operation on wet grooved runways. Manufacturers
may also provide supplemental advisory landing distance data for conditions beyond those required by regulation; however, they are not used in lieu of the advised 15 percent safety margin.
