Quote: What's the advantage to being released? Speeding up the demise of the airline? With or without a contract, with or without bankruptcy, with or without a strike, the end result is the same I'm afraid.

There's just no good options for Republic. Someone has to be first.
I can't believe how many people think that RJET can't survive even with what the pilots are demanding.

The company has one of the best EBITAs in the entire business...worldwide. If everything was working properly (and it will if they just agree to a decent contract) the company would easily be pulling in at least $40 Million a quarter....and that's a BARE minimum.

That's a pretty damned good margin for an airline and that'll keep all interested parties happy. This bankruptcy threat is meant to scare the uniformed and uneducated....do not be fooled.

Quote: If they are making 150 credit, what incentive do they have to close a deal? Holidays off, somewhat flex sked. Weekends: under normal circumstances, they have them off.
Why would anyone wanna give that up?
8 years dude. It takes two to tango.
Think about it.
Your credibility on this board has been shot many times over.

Just shut up, woman.

Quote: The NMB's job is to avoid strikes. As long as a party keeps coming back to the table, then there isn't an impasse. Here, the Teamsters proposed an alternate version of the LBFO, which is a sign of negotiation.
The company has said many times, both privately and publicly, that it is not willing to return to negotiations.

Anyone with a brain realizes that is the definition of an impasse and a union with any marbles would file suit to get released.

Briefing.com: "...6:29 pm Republic Airways announces it received a meeting request from the National Mediation Board (RJET) : Co announces it received notification from the National Mediation Board ("NMB") requesting the Company meet with the NMB on Sept. 16, 2015, in Washington, D.C. "As our case remains under the control of the NMB, the Company intends to fully comply with the request of the mediator. Although the International Brotherhood of Teamsters has deferred a vote by our Pilots, our proposed contract remains on the table, and we continue to believe the appropriate next step is for the Union to abide by its constitution and let our Pilots vote on their own future. A week ago, we offered to meet with the elected leadership of the Union to discuss their language concerns in the proposed contract. To our dismay, there has been no response from the Union leadership to this invitation as a way to collaboratively bring this process to a close..."

Another bit of propaganda designed to resonate with the impaired.

I believe a significant number of RAH guys would strike just out of spite. I believe that sentiment is justified.

I don't believe BB & Co could care less.

Glad to be gone.

That's great, all you need now is pilots. No pilots, no business. Where they coming from?

My credibility has been shot because you and other folk don't agree with what i say, which is a truthful counter to what you and other folk breathe.
You are referring to my predictions, I'm just telling you what i heard (don't shoot the messenger).
The problem with rich kids like you is that mommy and daddy spoiled their lil angel so much, that he can't handle somdone dare talking back to him.
My "credibly " is just fine, thank you.

You're wasting your time arguing with today's product.

Bottom line is you can't run an airline if you can't staff it. If FO's are going to bail out it's only a matter of time before the flight decks are filled with 2 Captains and then you better hope something changes and fast.
