Quote: Isn't there some solace in the fact that group 2 upgrade time is lower, and someone, say a 4th year pilot, at AA can start earning a lot more than a Delta pilot? How many years of 16% profit sharing does that offset. Has to be a couple at least.
Retirement numbers and movement should have nothing to do with not having an industry leading contract.

We still need an ILC, regardless of having higher retirements in the next few years. Apples and oranges.

Not sure about the 737 but on last years large AE the A320,A321, A220, MD90, 717, MD88 were all under 4 years. There's another big AE out right now so who knows how junior everything will be. There's a lot of movement right now.

Current junior 737 Nyc Capt is 4 years, but has been a captain 2+ years. NYC 320 is 3.5 years and has been a captain for 2+ years.

Ever thought there might be a reason upgrades are going so junior?
(Hint, it probably ain't good.)

Except that Delta upgrades go junior because a senior FO can make more than CAs with 200% premium flying.

Our upgrades go junior because our contract sucks and being a senior FO is the only way to avoid the BS.

How many years of seniority would you give up at American to switch to Delta if you lived within 1 hour of LGA?
