Earnings calls highlights:

- Not hiring pilots for 2020 needs, the year is adequately staffed. Hiring in 2020 for 2021 needs, attrition slightly lower than expected. Back tracked later in the call to say " we're on track". Whatever that means.

- already staffed to fly the 737max

- The airline has been prepaying pension expense, only to stop this quarter, allowing earnings to pop. An analyst caught this and called them on it.

- E190 will be parked at the end of summer

- 737 oasis will be completed April 2021, A321 retrofits done march 2022.

- Only contract they expect to ratify in 2020 is the mechanic service workers.

- Allegedly make money flying transatlantic in the winter for the first time ever. Business class saves the day, economy tickets pricing environment is poor.

Predicting 4-5% growth in 2020, however it all comes from the max return to service. Nothing surprising.

Profit sharing was negotiated away during the merger. What we get now is a cheap gift

Isn't there some solace in the fact that group 2 upgrade time is lower, and someone, say a 4th year pilot, at AA can start earning a lot more than a Delta pilot? How many years of 16% profit sharing does that offset. Has to be a couple at least.
