Quote: The story goes that we have 101 on property, but are only currently able to staff 92. The hope is that all the CRJ guys and gals come over and we start working our way back up the count to 125 ERJ’s.

Plus, there’s the continuous rumor floating around that we’re “optimistic” that we’ll be awarded 25 700’s currently up for renewal/bid with UA, hence the “United flying only” strategy.
I'm pretty sure the latter was floated out there to keep enough CRJ pilots around to staff them to the end of the DAL and AAL contracts. They are being transferred to SkyWest as fast as they can field them.

Quote: I think that's just the CRJ. On the ERJ side we've been pulling units from the desert. I don't know why, it's not like we have the pilots to fly them.

Current count I think is 115. 38 XR, 74 LR, 3 135.
Planes are coming offline to go to C5, being replaced with LRs from the desert 1-1. No reduction in airframes. We actually seem to be liberal with sparing for now. I think we're carrying more aircraft than block hours for now. The system bid will cover an actual increase in block hours, so maybe some good news coming soon.

Postponed. Good? Bad? Neither? Truely done to help the idiots who still only list ATL on their bid sheet?
We shall see.

That’s exactly what it is. I submit that all who fail to bid (save those on military leave, etc.) get exactly what the contract stipulates, although the extra time isn’t a bad idea and somewhat welcomed. It’s a big move for a lot of folks.

There is a very good possibility there are many who are planning to leave and simply won’t update. Ever.

What does the contract stipulate with failure to bid?

Really? Guys are still doing this. In the past we would give someone who did this the position that would give them the most seniority, otherwise known as the most junior FO position.

This has been communicated to the CRJ pilots over and over.

Now we are under the ERJ contract for system bids. If you don’t bid, needs of the company.

System bid delayed until the end of the month, and “.... dualclass flying may be farther in the future than anticipated.” 🙄

A lot has changed in the last week. I think XJT management (aka SkyWest management) thought they could secure some UA 700 flying. Only to get blindsided by UA ordering E175’s to replace the 25 CRJ700 contract they are dropping... and now Republic ordering 100 E175’s. XJT is left flying around it’s E145’s.... Realy sucks that by the time they stabilize XJT it will be to late.. Republic/Mesa/Endeavor will gobble up any growth thats out there...

Why would questions about the cpp slow down the bid? And if there’s so many damn questions put out an faq. It’s not that hard.

Is that fa still getting her licenses?
