Honestly, for a company that's supposedly struggling so bad for pilots, there's surprisingly little in open time right now and they hardly ever offer premium. If I wanted more hours this month (which I don't because I have personal stuff going on) I'd probably have to pick up advertised. I think it's because Xjet, unlike other regionals, will turn down flying they know they can't staff.

I never understood this. It’s not like having good performance numbers has helped us in any way.

Exactly. In March and April it was constant red flag and we made it work, and made extra money.

Unlike other regionals Xjet is losing airframes at an alarming rate...

I thought we had plans to add another ~30 airframes? More blown smoke?

What is the ERJ count currently? Is 101 still the magic number to be profitable?

I think that's just the CRJ. On the ERJ side we've been pulling units from the desert. I don't know why, it's not like we have the pilots to fly them.

Current count I think is 115. 38 XR, 74 LR, 3 135.

The story goes that we have 101 on property, but are only currently able to staff 92. The hope is that all the CRJ guys and gals come over and we start working our way back up the count to 125 ERJ’s.

Plus, there’s the continuous rumor floating around that we’re “optimistic” that we’ll be awarded 25 700’s currently up for renewal/bid with UA, hence the “United flying only” strategy.
