Quote: You're ignorant if you think you won because your side's argument won the day.
The argument won because it followed the policy. The other side's argument was not considered because it was fantasy. That's what the non-ALPA arbitrators who were not actually ALPA but people outside ALPA thought at least.

Quote: You can continue to believe that as well. I'm grounded in reality and I am well aware that the system is corrupt and the chances of the lawsuit getting before a jury is slim. However I will also say that if it does go to a jury trial then I believe there is a real good chance of your windfall will end.

ALPA is a corrupt, inept and ineffectual organization and all your crowing will cease when ALPA thinks it's not in its best interest that your side win and you find yourself in their way.

You're ignorant if you think you won because your side's argument won the day.

All ALPA did is make this place toxic for decades to come and if you had any sense you would haven't supported such a lopsided "award".

It's one thing to get all the windfall from an egregious award, it's quite another to gloat and revel in it. Not surprised however as I've read your posts for a LONG time and this is par for the course.
You do realize that these vacancy bids would have the same outcome even if sCALs whacked proposal was successfully adopted?

You do realize that most of the sCAL furloughees are ahead of hundreds of sUAL furloughees with most having significantly more time on property?

You may not realize that most sCAL Senior pilots I've met are satisfied with the SLI and don't share your point of view.

Ya think?? Yea the senior guys did fine, they got theirs, so what?

CAL furloughees are ahead of "hundreds" of UAL furloughees because there where almost 1500 of them , versus 147 CAL guys. A little bit misleading dont you think?

So, it is blindingly apparent that there is no version of an SLl that would satisfy (not even the whacked sCAL proposal) the Junior sCAL pilots that had a strange/bogus picture of rapid movement during the last 3 years and seem messed up for it.
Most of the 1500 had huge quantitative advantages in every aspect of the merger policy over the 147...so no not misleading.

Making the statement that you are grounded in reality AND having the allusion that the LCAL ISL proposal was anything other than an adolescent and emotionally charged fantasy are not mutually conducive.

Mighty big words there Hoss. I'm impressed. No, really, not trying to be sarcastic. Oh, I just can't make this come out right.

Many on here, me included, might need smaller words.

Let me simple it down a bit.

Saying you (wolfmanpack) are grounded in reality. And saying that the CAL ISL proposal was anything but a pipe dream ain't working out because you can't be grounded in reality and think that the CAL ISL proposal was anything other than a childish fantasy. It was not based in reality, it was not based on policy and it wasn't going to happen, not now, not ever!

It was so far out there that it kind of reminded me of my 17 year old asking me if I would buy her a new hard loaded Dodge Challenger RT with a full up performance package when she got her drivers license. Great idea sweetie, but it AIN'T going to happen, not now, not ever!

I reckon that what side of the table you are sitting combined with unrealistic expectations can make for some pretty wild requests.

or then again....it might just be stupid.
wolfmanpack,
Don't fall for jseld's antics. It's clear that she was either:
A. Hired at UAL simply because she's a girl OR
B. She's having a hissy fit because she sees a lot of people not wearing a 10cent pin. Who cares about voting away scope TWICE, voting in a substandard contract, and agreeing to be behind Delta for another year! Just wear the pin, that'll show'em!
