Not soliciting theories on causal factors, here. I am, however, completely at a loss about what is going at the NTSB right now, and why a prelim has not been released at this point.

This is an absolute disservice to the pilot community. I personally take away valuable lessons-learned from every incident.

It's so much easier and better to take a longer time to get it right than to rush something out and have to correct it later.

Clearly, the NTSB had their earlier attempts at transparency somewhat backfire when they made their comments about the elevator movement.

To paraphrase the old saying "an error will be half way 'round the world while the truth is still pulling on it's boots".

That occurred not even three months ago. I would be surprised if anything is released before six months are up, and I wouldn't be amazed if it takes a year.

NTSB website\twitter feed will provide updated details as they become available. Would expect the Public Hearing, well, quite awhile from now followed by the final report.
For a better timeline, might research the Colgan mishap in Buffalo to see the various dates. And, some good lessons for every pilot to incorporate as well.

I’ve heard this type of rationalization before. Pilot contracts are not rocket science. If youre negotiations are taking a long time it is because someone wants it to take a long time.

NTSB factual reports typically take at least a year, if it is a Go Team report like this one, two or more is not uncommon. The more contributing factors the longer it will take.

The topic was the accident report from the NTSB on 5Y3591, not the stalled contract talks.
